A FEW THOUGHTS ON LA SHORTS

Our screening at the Festival was standing room only and wonderfully received. What a joy to hear the laughter and tears, and to share personal stories of young love and legacy stories brought on by the separation and anxiety of WWII.
I was invited to take part in a panel discussion and Q&A after a screening of inspiring ANIMATED SHORTS. The Festival screened more than a dozen animated films, all of which shared beautiful artwork, creative vision and magic, as only animation can create. Later, I was happy to share my experiences writing MULAN, a film both my wife and I are immensely proud of.
The festival itself was a real treat. Beautifully and thoughtfully put together, incredibly well attended (which was a surprise given the LA traffic to the downtown venue, Regal–LA Live!) and stocked with beautiful films from around the world. What an exciting way to premiere our film! Thank you LA SHORTS!
